A three hour bus ride and wet and rainy weather couldn't slow down the Bobcat offense as they erupted for 14 hits and 17 runs in a shortened 8 inning victory over the UNOH Racers JV squad 17-2. Tylor Wolfe led the offense with 4 hits including a triple and his 5th home run, 2 runs scored, and a whopping 6 RBIs on the day. Riley Day scored three times and hit a triple, and John Costella and Dylan Cutler both had 2 hits games including RBI doubles. Koby Zupko got the start on the mound for the Bobcats and worked the first 4 innings surrendering 1 run on 5 hits while he struck out 4 UNOH hitters. He was relieved by Alex Tackett who threw 1 inning in relief allowing 1 earned run on no hits and 4 walks, Dustyn Lucas who threw a clean inning inducing a double play and striking out a batter, Jacob Shaw who struck out the side in his inning of work, and Loudan Braun who came in to throw a clean 8th to secure the run rule victory for the Bobcats. The win moves the Bobcats record to 22-7 overall on the year, they will be back on road this Friday at Kent State Tuscarawas before playing their last OCCAC games vs Clark State at home on Saturday.
