Fourth-Quarter Push Not Enough as Bobcats Drop Defensive Battle to Lakeland
Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) showed grit and resilience down the stretch, but an early offensive lull proved costly in a 55–47 loss to Lakeland Community College on Wednesday night at Ursuline College's Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center.
The Bobcats struggled to find a rhythm in the opening half as Lakeland used second-chance opportunities and interior scoring to build a 26–16 halftime lead. Despite solid defensive effort, Bryant & Stratton entered the fourth quarter facing a double-digit deficit.
The final period told a different story. The Bobcats came alive offensively, pouring in 18 points in the fourth and forcing Lakeland into difficult possessions as the gap narrowed late. Bryant & Stratton continued to battle on both ends, but the comeback effort ran out of time.
Aryn Harris led all scorers with 19 points on efficient shooting while adding 7 rebounds. Delesha "FeFe" Jackson provided a spark off the bench with 8 points and strong perimeter defense, and Destinee White contributed across the stat sheet with 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Precious Williams added 6 points and 6 rebounds in limited minutes.
Bryant & Stratton's defensive intensity held Lakeland to just 55 points, but missed shots in the early quarters ultimately made the difference.
