No. 6 Bloomfield Pulls Away Late to Defeat No. 8 Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) in Home Opener
December 6th, 2025 | Pepper Pike, Ohio
In a nationally ranked matchup to open conference play, No. 8 Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) battled No. 6 Bloomfield for four quarters, but the visitors' size, depth, and second-chance scoring proved too much as the Bobcats fell 87–58 on Saturday morning at home.
Bloomfield established early momentum with a 24-point first quarter, using aggressive offensive rebounding and interior scoring to create separation. Bryant & Stratton responded with improved pace and shot-making in the second period, narrowing the margin to 49–31 at halftime.
Despite the Bobcats' efforts to generate stops and control tempo, Bloomfield continued to capitalize on extra possessions in the second half. The Bears finished the game with a decisive 51–39 rebounding advantage and 18 made free throws, steadily extending their lead through the final two quarters.
For the Bobcats, Ryann Greenfield delivered a standout performance, posting 22 points and 13 rebounds while shooting 9-of-14 from the field. Aryn Harris added 10 points and five boards, and Madison Jacobs contributed seven points and eight rebounds. Bryant & Stratton showed strong stretches of defensive pressure, collecting 10 steals as a team, but could not overcome Bloomfield's efficiency on the glass and in transition.
The loss drops Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) to 0–1 in conference play, with the team set to regroup as they continue their early-season.
