Bobcats Drop District Championship to GRCC

The OCCAC Champion Bobcats had their season come to an end, dropping the District Championship to Grand Rapids Community College 72-51. OCCAC Player Of The Year Keara Wilson led the Bobcats with 14 points, and Treasur Jones had 12 points and 7 rebounds off the bench. 

The Bobcats came ready to play, winning the first quarter 15-13 behind the efforts of Wilson who scored 7 points and assisted on another basket. The second quarter was a different story however as the Raiders of GRCC outscored the Bobcats 27-8 behind good three point shooting by Eurasia Green- Boyd who knocked down 3 triples and had 11 of her 18 points in the quarter. The Bobcats would trail at the half 40-23. The second half would be a tightly contested matchup as the Raiders would add to the lead in the third quarter outsourcing the Bobcats 20-16, and the teams would tie in the fourth scoring 12 a piece. With this loss in the District Championship the Bobcats finish their season with a record of 8-3 overall and their first OCCAC Championship.
