Bobcats Top Clark State, Remain 1st in OCCAC
The Bobcats took care of Clark State in an 80-43 blow out victory at home to improve their record to 7-2 overall this season and remain in first place in the OCCAC. Keara Wilson led the Bobcats in scoring once again with 17 points, Normajanae Bohannon contributed 12 points and a team high 5 steals, and Rajana Cox had 12 points.
The Bobcats played rock solid defense in the first half holding the Eagles to only 13 total points in the first 20 minutes of play as they only allowed 8 points in the first quarter and 5 in the second. The offense continued to do what it does scoring on average 20 points per quarter. The Bobcats led by 13 after the first quarter and Nya Farrell took care of the second helping the Bobcats to a 31 point lead at halftime by recording 6 points and 6 rebounds including 4 rebounds on the offensive side of the court. Coming out of halftime the Eagles would put up their best quarter of the game scoring 19 points in the third, but they couldn't slow down the Bobcat shooters as Keara Wilson would knock down a pair of threes in the third quarter and Bohannon and Ahmani Tolbert would hit two in the 4th to keep this one out of reach. The Bobcats led the whole game and had this one in hand pretty early with the big first half. They play the Eagles one last time this coming Saturday at home to wrap up OCCAC play for the year. The Bobcats currently sit at a record of 7-2 (5-1 OCCAC).
