Bobcats Drop Game To Sharp Shooting Clark State
The Bobcats traveled to Clark State for their second match up at the Eagles court this week. Although the ladies made a valiant attempt at a comeback, they would drop this one to the Eagles 68-65 to end their 5 game winning streak and move their record to 6-2 on the year. They remain first in conference play with one more game against Clark State to play Saturday the 27th. Keara Wilson led the Bobcats with 21 points, Chy'Rah Darrickaiya Smith-Isom contributed 10 points in 11 minutes off the bench.
The first half of this game was all Eagles as the sharp shooting pair of Cauley and McIntosh would finish the night 8-13 from behind the arc and combine for 29 points, many of those coming in their 47pt first half. At the end of the first quarter the Bobcats were looking at a 28-7 deficit, with that deficit only being lowered by a bucket in the second quarter as they trailed 47-28 at the half. The third quarter would prove once again to be their time to shine as the Bobcats would start chipping away at the lead cutting it 60-51 at the end of the third and a Rajana Cox transition layup would bring the Bobcats to within 3 with 2:30 to play in the game. The Eagles were able to hold onto the slim lead in the end winning the ball game 68-65. The Bobcats will play the Eagles again Saturday the 27th.
