Bobcats Close Season at USCAA Nationals
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Bryant & Stratton College (Ohio) Bobcats concluded their 2025–26 season Wednesday afternoon at the USCAA Division I National Tournament, falling to Atlantis University, 79-65, at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center.
Bryant & Stratton finished the season with an 18-12 overall record, capping off a strong year that included their 1st national tournament appearance in only their 2nd USCAA season.
The Bobcats came out ready to compete early, knocking down perimeter shots and keeping the contest tight through much of the opening half. Atlantis eventually created some separation late in the half to take a 45-36 lead into halftime.
Bryant & Stratton continued to battle throughout the second half, but Atlantis was able to extend its lead by capitalizing on turnovers and scoring consistently inside to maintain control of the game.
Detric Hearst led the Bobcats with 21 points, connecting on five three-pointers while adding six rebounds and four assists in his final game of the season.
Kenji Ward-Sims provided a strong spark off the bench with 12 points, while Dondi Harper contributed nine points, four assists, and three steals. Greg Thurman added seven points, and Brian Gillespie pulled down five rebounds to help the Bobcats on the glass.
Bryant & Stratton received strong contributions from its bench throughout the game, finishing with 31 bench points.
With the national tournament appearance, the Bobcats capped off a competitive season and gained valuable experience on the national stage. The team now looks ahead to building on the momentum from this season as the program continues to grow moving forward.
