Bobcats Fall on the Road at Lakeland
The Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) men's basketball team came up short on Thursday night, falling 87–74 to Lakeland Community College in Willoughby. The Bobcats battled throughout, staying within striking distance for most of the night, but Lakeland's perimeter shooting proved to be the difference.
Lakeland hit 15 threes and shot 45.5% from deep, using multiple scoring runs in each half to create separation.
Offensively, the Bobcats were led by Aaron Wilson, who delivered a strong performance off the bench with 25 points, knocking down three triples and attacking the rim throughout the night. Donovan Barnes added 10 points and 6 rebounds, providing a steady two-way presence.
Zavionn Thurman continued his efficient play with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal, while Remi Gilmore added 9 points and 6 rebounds, connecting on three shots from beyond the arc. Hunter Graham battled inside for 8 rebounds, helping B&SC finish with 37 boards as a team.
The Bobcats shot 38.9% from the field and 81.8% at the free-throw line, but couldn't overcome Lakeland's hot perimeter night and +7 rebounding margin.
Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) now turns the page quickly as they prepare for their next matchup on Sunday vs. Edison State, hosted at Ursuline College.
