Bobcats Survive Late Surge to Earn Gritty Road Win at Butler, 78–76
The Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) Bobcats battled through a tight road matchup on Monday night, securing a gritty 78–76 win over Butler County Community College (PA). B&SC controlled the first half and carried a 35–29 lead into the break before withstanding a second-half surge that pushed the game down to the wire.
Remi Gilmore led the way with a smooth and efficient 23 points, knocking down three threes and going a perfect 6-for-6 at the line. He delivered timely baskets throughout the night, helping the Bobcats maintain composure whenever Butler threatened.
In the paint, Blake Brookenthal was dominant, posting a 15-point, 15-rebound double-double while anchoring the glass on both ends. Zavionn Thurman added a huge all-around effort with 10 rebounds and 6 assists, impacting the game far beyond the scoring column.
Hunter Graham chipped in 13 points, and Aaron Wilson supplied 11 points and 5 assists off the bench, giving the Bobcats a spark in the backcourt.
Defensively, Bryant & Stratton had to counter a massive performance from Butler's Nicholas DelGratta, who poured in 47 points to keep the Pioneers within striking distance. Despite the challenge, the Bobcats made the necessary stops late and closed the game to secure the win.
B&SC heads into the rest of the week looking to build on the momentum from a tough, resilient road victory.
