Bobcats Battle in Double Overtime at Central State
Wilberforce, OH – February 18th, 2026 — Bryant & Stratton College (Ohio) men's basketball went toe-to-toe with NCAA Division II opponent Central State University, taking the Marauders to double overtime before ultimately falling 109–93 on Wednesday night inside Beacom/Lewis Gym.
The Bobcats led by three at the half and had chances to close it out late, but Central State forced overtime and pulled away in the second extra frame.
Greg Thurman led the way for B&SC with 24 points on 9-of-20 shooting, including four made threes. Brian Gillespie added 18 points and four steals, while Detric Hearst and Dondi Harper each chipped in 14. Harper hit four three-pointers and dished out five assists, and Sam Whitaker III provided a strong spark off the bench with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) shot 45.6% from the field and connected on 10 triples, keeping pace with the Marauders in an up-tempo, physical contest. The Bobcats tallied 15 assists as a team.
Despite the setback, the Bobcats showed poise and grit against a tough Division II opponent, fighting through two overtime periods in one of their most competitive games of the season.
