Bobcats Fall to Tri-C on Pink Out Night
Pepper Pike, OH – On Pink Out | Breast Cancer Awareness Night, Bryant & Stratton College (Ohio) men's basketball fell to Cuyahoga Community College, 93–71, Wednesday evening at the Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center.
The Bobcats competed hard early and trailed just 39–31 at halftime. However, Tri-C used a strong second-half push, scoring 54 points after the break, to create separation and secure the road win.
Hunter Graham led B&SC with 14 points on an efficient 7-of-12 shooting performance while adding six rebounds and two assists. Zavionn Thurman knocked down three three-pointers to finish with nine points and six rebounds, and Remi Gilmore added nine points and five boards.
Donovan Barnes anchored the glass with a team-high 10 rebounds to go along with seven points and four steals. Christian Hood provided a lift off the bench with eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.
As a team, B&SC shot 41.1% from the field and pulled down 44 rebounds, but turnovers and second-chance opportunities proved costly down the stretch. Cuyahoga was led by John "Favor" McFadden, who posted 27 points and 12 rebounds.
The Bobcats will look to bounce back on Saturday, February 14th, when they host Clark State College at 1:00 PM EST at the Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center for Sophomore Day.
