Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) opened their New York road swing with a hard-earned 86–83 victory over Bryant & Stratton (Rochester) on Saturday night at RIT. The Bobcats controlled the first half with a 49–30 advantage and held off a late surge from Rochester.
Detric Hearst powered the offense with 22 points and 10 rebounds, notching a double-double while shooting 7-of-16 from the field. Greg Thurman was dominant inside with 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Phillip Byrd added 6 points and 8 boards as the Bobcats won the rebounding battle 46–37.
Ohio also received major bench contributions, highlighted by Sam Whitaker III (10 points on 5-of-6 shooting) and Dondi Harper (10 points, 3 threes). The Bobcats shot an efficient 50% from the floor and 45% from three, using timely scoring to fend off Rochester's 53-point second half push.
The victory extended Ohio's strong midseason momentum and moved them to 1–0 on the weekend.

Less than 24 hours later, the Bobcats returned to action in Syracuse, falling 94–84 in a high-tempo matchup that was tied 40–40 at halftime before Syracuse pulled away late. Despite the result, Ohio delivered multiple standout performances and showcased strong offensive balance.
Greg Thurman posted a game-high 26 points, knocking down four threes and carrying the scoring load throughout. Detric Hearst followed with 25 points and 10 rebounds, recording his second double-double of the weekend. Phillip Byrd added 13 points and 4 assists, while Dondi Harper and Kenji Ward-Sims combined for 12 points off the bench.
Ohio hit 10 three-pointers and shot 40% from deep, but Syracuse used a decisive second half powered by 27 points from Jordan Drain and 25 from Matthew Cleveland to close out the game.
