Bobcats Come Up Just Short in 78–76 Road Battle at Lorain
Elyria, OH — Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) clawed back from an early deficit and nearly stole a road win on Wednesday night, but a late push wasn't enough as the Bobcats fell 78–76 to Lorain County Community College.
After trailing 51–40 at halftime, the Bobcats tightened the screws defensively and outscored Lorain 36–27 in the second half, taking the lead & trimming the gap to one possession multiple times in the final minutes.
Donovan Barnes delivered another standout performance, posting 23 points, 9 rebounds, and elite efficiency from the free-throw line (5-for-5).
Hunter Graham controlled the paint with a dominant 15-rebound, 10-point effort, while Zavionn Thurman filled the stat sheet across the board—5 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.
Bench production gave the Bobcats life, with Christian Hood adding 12 points and Aaron Wilson supplying a steady 6 points and 5 assists.
Despite winning the rebounding battle (51–43) and holding Lorain to just 21.9% shooting in the second half, the early hole proved costly as Lorain's balanced scoring attack managed to hold on.
Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) will look to bounce back quickly.
