Bobcats Fall on the Road at Clark State
Springfield, OH — Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) battled on the road Saturday afternoon but couldn't overcome Clark State's efficient shooting and second-chance production, falling 93–67 in Springfield.
The Bobcats came out competing, putting up 29 first-half points behind strong guard play, but Clark State's size and rebounding advantage created separation late in the half and throughout the final 20 minutes.
Donovan Barnes led the way with a tough, competitive 19-point, 8-rebound performance while playing all but a few minutes. Terrance Pampley gave the Bobcats good minutes off the bench with 7 points and 5 rebounds, and Aaron Wilson added 8 points. Zavionn Thurman and Blake Brookenthal each chipped in 5+ points and made plays defensively.
Despite creating 11 steals and forcing 24 turnovers, the Bobcats struggled to convert on the offensive end, shooting 30.7% from the field and 4-for-27 from three. Clark State's ability to control the glass (51–26 rebounding margin) ultimately shaped the outcome.
