Bobcats Grind Out 71–66 Win on Pink Out Saturday
Pepper Pike, OH — Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) protected home court on Pink Out | Breast Cancer Awareness Day, outlasting Villa Maria 71–66 in a physical, possession-by-possession battle at the Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center.
The Bobcats led 34–33 at the half but found their separation after the break through toughness on the glass (45–43 advantage), timely scoring, and a balanced defensive effort that held Villa Maria to 4-of-14 from deep.
Detric Hearst was the engine all afternoon, pouring in 24 points on 10-of-23 shooting while adding 10 rebounds for a huge double-double.
Tareeq Roper delivered another steady two-way performance with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and efficient shooting (5-of-11 FG, 2-of-3 3PT).
Inside, Phillip Byrd controlled the paint with 13 rebounds and 5 points, impacting the game defensively and on the boards.
Greg Thurman added 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, giving the Bobcats a crucial facilitator in tight stretches.
