Bobcats Show Late Fight but Fall Short Against Lakeland
Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) battled through a tough shooting night, ultimately falling 92–67 to Lakeland Community College on Wednesday evening at Ursuline College's Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center.
Lakeland came out firing, building a 50–28 halftime lead behind efficient scoring and a heavy presence on the glass. The Bobcats responded with more energy in the second half, but the early deficit proved too steep.
Despite the outcome, several Bobcats delivered strong individual performances. Donovan Barnes led the way with 13 points and 7 rebounds, attacking the paint and providing steady production. Zavionn Thurman added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds while impacting the game defensively. Remi Gilmore gave Ohio an offensive spark off the bench, knocking down three triples on his way to 11 points. Christian Hood chipped in 9 points and continued to provide two-way activity.
The Bobcats controlled the offensive glass at times and pushed the pace in the second half, but Lakeland's scoring balance and size created separation.
Ohio now shifts focus to its next matchup as they look to bounce back at home.
