Fast Start, Late Surge Falls Short as Bobcats Drop 99–84 Decision to Terra State
Bryant & Stratton College (Ohio) NJCAA opened Saturday evening with energy and efficiency, but a strong second-half push by Terra State proved to be the difference as the Bobcats fell 99–84 on January 10th in Pepper Pike.
Bryant & Stratton came out sharp offensively, scoring 50 first-half points and carrying a 50–46 lead into the break. The Bobcats shared the ball well early, attacked the paint, and controlled the tempo for much of the opening 20 minutes.
Terra State flipped the script after halftime, outscoring Bryant & Stratton 53–34 in the second half. The visitors leaned on physicality, offensive rebounding, and timely baskets to build separation down the stretch. Terra State finished with 55 total rebounds, including 26 on the offensive glass, which created second-chance opportunities that swung momentum.
For Bryant & Stratton, Aaron Wilson led the way with 19 points, while Christian Hood added 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting. Donovan Barnes posted a strong all-around performance with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists, narrowly missing a triple-double. Hunter Graham was efficient inside with 12 points and 6 rebounds in limited minutes.
Despite shooting a solid 43.4% from the field and 80% from the free-throw line, Bryant & Stratton was unable to overcome the rebounding margin and second-half run by Terra State.
The Bobcats will look to bounce back quickly as they return to action on Wednesday, January 14th, taking on Lakeland Community College at 8:00 PM EST. The game will be hosted at Ursuline College (Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center).
