Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) showed offensive balance and competitiveness early, but a deep, efficient Walsh squad pulled away for a 114–77 final on Tuesday night.
The Bobcats kept pace in the opening half, shooting 50.0% from the field and 42.9% from three, trailing 55–39 at the break. Walsh used second-chance opportunities and interior scoring to extend the margin in the second half, finishing the game at 54.9% shooting while winning the rebounding battle 49–28.
Detric Hearst led Bryant & Stratton with 18 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds, while Kenji Ward-Sims added 16 points on 3-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc. Dondi Harper provided a spark off the bench with 14 points, knocking down 4 three-pointers, and Tareeq Roper chipped in 12 points with steady guard play.
Bryant & Stratton finished the night shooting 46.3% overall and 42.9% from three, but Walsh's depth proved decisive, as the Cavaliers received 51 bench points and scored 58 points in the paint.
The Bobcats now turn the page quickly with their next contest scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday, December 31st at Ashland University at 1:00 PM EST in an exhibition game.
