Bobcats Struggle on the Road at Westminster
Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) never found a rhythm Tuesday night, falling 88–54 at Westminster in a performance where the Bobcats simply didn't match the energy, execution, or urgency needed to compete on the road.
Westminster caught fire early from three, and the Bobcats never recovered from a 52–28 halftime deficit, spending most of the night trying to climb out of a hole against a team that executed cleaner on both ends.
What Went Wrong
-
0-for-7 from three — the offense never stretched the floor, allowing Westminster to pack the paint.
-
18 Westminster points off turnovers — too many giveaways led directly to runouts the Bobcats couldn't afford.
-
Slow starts to both halves — put B&SC behind the pace immediately.
-
Breakdowns guarding the perimeter — Westminster shot 51% from three, punishing every missed rotation.
Individual Notes
A few Bobcats still battled through the tough night:
-
Greg Thurman led with 11 points, staying aggressive despite defensive pressure.
-
Brian Gillespie gave a spark off the bench with 8 points.
-
Kevin Siakam added 6 points and 5 rebounds, fighting inside late.
-
Sam Whitaker III grabbed 6 boards and continued to compete defensively.
But overall, the group expects more from itself — and needed more tonight.
The Message
This was a step backward, and everyone knows it. The standard has to rise — sharper execution, more connected defense, and better composure when opponents make runs. The good news? The issues are fixable, and the film will be honest.
