Bobcats Cruise To 3rd Straight OCCAC Victory
The Bobcat men's basketball team took on Clark State in an OCCAC matchup, winning the game 76-64. The Bobcats have now won 3 conference matchups in a row and are climbing the OCCAC standings with two weeks left to play. Perry Fullum and Larry Reynolds both stuffed the stat sheet for the Bobcats scoring 19 points a piece. Fullum finished with 19 points 4 rebounds 6 assists and 3 steals, while Reynolds finished with 19 points 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Tareeq Roper had a good day as well finishing with his first double double of the season recording 13 points and 10 assists, while also pulling down 6 rebounds. DJ Harrell rounded out the Bobcats in double figures with 10 points.
The Bobcats took a commanding 16 point lead into halftime led by the sharp shooting of Larry Reynolds who hit 4 of his 5 three pointers in the half, and the relentless attack of DJ Harrell who scored all 10 of his points, including a fastbreak dunk at the buzzer, in the first 20 minutes of play. The Eagles of Clark State would fight back in the second half, but the Bobcats strong defensive first half holding the Eagles to under 25 points would allow them to hang on for the victory.
The Bobcats are back in action next Saturday Feb 19th at Hocking College for another crucial OCCAC match up with the undefeated Hawks.
